oh baby

Remember a couple of weeks ago when I made a post of my Christmas wish list?  Do you remember what my wishes were? Maybe that one of them was a baby?  I made that wish completely joking.  Having a baby right now is not even remotely an option.  I have 10 more classes before I graduate college, boyfriend and I have yet to get married, we know we want to, but right now isn't the right time.  We know we don't want to have babies until we've traveled a little, have a place of our own, are married and both have good jobs.

Well, little did we know, He has a different plan for us.  Against all odds we are having a baby.

How do I feel about it?  I am completely and utterly shocked.  I feel like this is my worst nightmare and biggest dream come true all in one.  I've grown up wanting to be a mama, lawyer and wife; that's always been my dream.  I know that I will be all of these but it's not exactly happening in the order that I had planned, or intended.  And if you're wondering, yes I do know that you shouldn't have sex before marriage and that abstinence is the only way to ensure that you don't get pregnant.  We were being as cautious as possible and still conceived.  Bad luck? Good luck? Call it what you will.  We have received a blessing, it is going to be so incredibly hard, but we are a team and we will make it.  We will provide the best care and the most love.

p.s. I was hesitant about sharing so soon, but then decided that if it was God's will to take our baby home early that we would still want him/her to be known.
p.p.s. Become a follower to be a part of my journey through this crazy road I've just stumbled onto!
