  1. Aww I love the BUMP pic!!
I think you and I are very much on the same page with a lot of the bub relate stuff.. I don't like spongebob at all, or Dora the Explorer.. if we get any of that stuff as gifts, it's getting donated straight to charity!
And why this sudden desire to give babes all their shots in one hit?!?! I'm all for immunisation but space them out a little bit please!!
And.. I was raised on diet coke. Terrible stuff. If I have it my way, my future kiddos can try it for the first time on their 16th Birthday's.. now I know that's not realistic, but I don't want to be breeding little caffeine addicts.. me and my brothers didn't know you could drink water until we hit our teens!

  2. I kinda take offense to the characters on the clothing thing.. What's the big deal? And if someone buys your kid clothes and you don't like what they look like you aren't going to use them?? That's kind of ungrateful in my opinion.

    1. I don't think it's that different if it's a character I don't like or just an item of clothing I don't.. whilst I'd be appreciative someone bought a gift, if it's not something I like, I'd probably but the kid in it once to please the gift giver, then donate said item to charity. I really REALLY dislike both Spongebob Square Pants and Dora the Explorer.. with Dora enough so that anyone who knows me would know better than to purchase anything with her face on it. I actually think character clothing is quite personal, unless you know the recipient is a fan of that particular character, it's a bit risky.

    2. I don't mean to offend anyone, ever. I was listing things that I do not like. With having a baby, I get to dress him and I know that I won't dress him in tv characters that he will not even be watching on tv. When he is older, that he will get to help decide that he wears.

If someone buys me clothes with characters on it, I wouldn't dress my baby in them... maybe that is ungrateful, but what I would do is donate them to Goodwill where someone who does like that kind of clothing could get them.

    3. I'm the same way, I want to dress my (future) baby in classic clothes, like stripes or just solid colors. No bright, gaudy Dora or Spongebob t-shirts, please. And the thing that gets me is that your MIL bought them on PURPOSE, while knowing that you didn't like that kind of thing. There's no way I'd put them on my baby after that!

    4. Glad to know I'm not the only one :) I had more to this post but decided to delete it all after having it up for a day. Offending anyone was never my goal and I'd rather not hear people disagreeing with me this week, lol

  4. When my kids were small and we were late for something important I totally missed the handicapped only sign. $150 ticket and it wasn't even a good parking spot for where we were going!
