The Good Stuff // 4th of July

It wasn't exactly the most exciting 4th of July ever.
I mean, when you think you're going to get to meet your baby, nothing can really overshadow that.
So when you don't, well it's just disappointment all around the table.

1. We got quality time with the sweet sailor baby.

2. We got patriotic.

3. We made cupcakes.

4. We ate cupcakes.

5. We played in boxes.

A good day had by all.
Filled with ball bouncing, walking, jumping jacks & nipple stimulation by way of breast pumping.
All attempts failed as... the child is still inside of me.

p.s. I wouldn't be trying to rush this if it weren't for all of these contractions that I've been having for THREE days now.

p.p.s. Got some advice? I'd love to hear it!

p.p.s. We've got a lot of lurkers. I'd love to know who's reading so I can come check out YOUR blog! Speak up!

  4. You are right about the lurkers. I've been following your blog for your pregnancy because my baby boy was due July 2 , so we were only a couple of weeks apart! I get the being impatient thing...I was 4cm and 100% effaced for two and a half weeks! Luckily the membrane stripping on Monday worked by Tuesday morning and we finally have him now,, but those two weeks before were so hard, waiting for him to come any minute! We tried everything too. Good luck with everything, can't wait to see your post announcing your baby's birth!

  5. Definitely feeling you on the contractions. My doctor told me I have an "irritable uterus".. Go figure, right? Which just means it likes to get all cranky and tense all the time. Have you tried warm baths to relax? I also purchased a cocoa butter stick, and I rub it all over my tummy. It feels really good on the skin, and it's a mini massage :)

  6. I get being super impatient about getting baby here. My son (who is now 9) was three weeks early but I never had any braxton hicks contractions. I am pregnant again and due September 3rd. I am not really ready for her to be here yet but I have been feeling a lot of "tightening" lately. I still have a little ways to go in this pregnancy but I am really feeling for you!
