I found something I needed to make on Pinterest, I pinned it and then.... I actually made it.

(It happened like two weeks ago and I'm still patting myself on the back for it.)

This is what I saw, loved & pinned:

I set out to Michaels and bought Mod Podge, a 36" X 24" canvas (it was buy one get one free, score!), brown paint, 4" stencils and a sponge paint brush.  My Michaels did not have maps but the KMart by my house did for $5.00!

I had to do three coats of brown paint, stencil out my letters, lay the letters on the canvas 100 times until the lines were as straight as I could make them and then I picked up each letter and used the Mod Podge to glue it to the canvas and then did a coat of Mod Podge over the whole canvas (as suggested).

This is how mine turned out:

I am absolutely in love with how it turned out and even more pleased with the fact that I was able to complete it with a newborn in tow.  The quote is one of my favorites as my mom has drilled it into my head growing up.

I'm so excited about doing my next one (for Coopers room!) but first I need to pick out the perfect quote.  Any suggestions?
