THIS MORNING {one for the books}

Ever have those moments where life is happening and it's so great that you want to push the pause button so you can snap some pictures and write about it real quickly?

That was this morning for me {and basically every minute of every day with Cooper, but you know what I mean}.

I woke up with less than half a voice, a runny nose, and a still sore wisdom teeth-less mouth.  It was definitely one of those moments where I would have given someone $1,000 to get up with Cooper and let me sleep all day.  Cooper seemed to be feeling a little less than perky so we lounged in bed for as long as he could stand it and then got up to start our morning routine.  Thankfully, he was ready for a nap pretty early and slept for a good hour in his crib, he woke up crying though so I knew some more sleep was in order!  I brought him into bed with me, nursed and we both drifted off.  We woke up an hour later both feeling a little better and this is when it happened:

My nails are an obnoxious bright blue right now {Essie: Butler Please}, probably a better color for toenails if we're being honest, and Cooper is extremely drawn to them.  He grabbed my pinky with of his hands and my index finger with his other and had a full blown conversation with  my nails for about three minutes straight, and right when I thought my heart couldn't take it anymore he put a hand on each of my cheeks, looked me in the eye and said "heeeey."  I can't even make this stuff up.  He is beyond sweet.  I want that moment of ours forever.  His love for touching faces these days is my favorite, I can't even handle it, especially when he smothers kisses all over my cheeks too.

We laid in bed post-nap for a good thirty minutes talking to each other, working on hand-eye coordination, and just soaking each other in.

I could have never imagined this kind of love.  It is simply incredible.  How sad to think that these moments where they just stare at you and study your face are fleeting.
