Dear Cooper // Week 37

I rocked and fed you tonight, like every night, but tonight was different because you feel asleep so quickly.  It was a busy day with a lot of time spent outside and you were exhausted.  One of those days where there wasn't too many times that you didn't have a big smile on your face.  It was a day full of laughter, dancing, practicing crawling, pulling up, riding in your stroller, and swinging at the park.  We pulled your shade shut, turning on your video monitor, turned on your sound machine, and settled into the rocking chair.  You spit your paci out and smiled at me so big, knowing what was coming.  It wasn't even five minutes and you were out.  I held you so tight and really felt the weight of you in my arms.  You're big my sweet boy, I can't believe how you've grown.

Tomorrow you will be 38 weeks old.
Thursday you will be 38 weeks and 4 days old.
That means you will have been out in this world as long as you were in mommy's belly.
It's hard to wrap my head around, it all feels so fast.

You've made leaps and bounds with your scooting.  I actually noticed tonight that your knees have a little rug burn on them after scooting around in shorts on the carpet all day.  Today you made your way to the space behind your bedroom door and laid there playing with the door stopper/wall protector, you really love those things!  Yesterday you scooted from your dresser to your toy box, turned around and noticed all of the crib sheets in the corner by your books, scooted over there, grabbed a book and started looking at it.  It was the cutest thing!

Your love for eating is growing.  I'm sneaking vegetables into you by mixing them with fruit.  You will only sit up in the bathtub now, no laying back to rinse your hair of the shampoo or anything.  You're making the craziest expressions, they kill me, I laugh and laugh at you and your silly personality.  I think you're just like me when it comes to letting your face tell exactly how you're feeling and what you're thinking.  One of your favorite things to do is ride around on your Little People riding toy, I push you and you hold onto the handles tight and smile so big.  You're so proud of yourself and I'm so proud of you!

I love you more than ever.

Mama
xoxo
