I DID THE DISHES {SANTA}

In the beginning of November I pulled out some Christmas decorations, one being a little ceramic Santa Clause that I have had for twenty years or something insanely long like that.  I did a formal introduction between Cooper and Santa and then put him on top of the bookshelf to be looked at but not touched (otherwise known as destroyed).  Multiple times a day Cooper points to Santa, lets out a "ho ho ho!" and then goes on his way.  Over the past few days Cooper has become increasingly interested in Santa, noticing him on TV, in books, and in Christmas song music videos that we've been watching on YouTube.  Erics mom planned for a Santa to be at her grocery store last night so for the past few days I really talked up Santa to him, like realllly talked him up it's going to be SO much fun kinda thing, you know?

We were ready.  We were excited.

Until we stood in front of Santa and I told Cooper he got to sit in his lap that is.

His poor little heart was beating so fast and he kept saying "bye bye Santa!" (get me the hell out of here mom).  Harrison, being the absolute most chill child there is, was not phased by him at all.  If a big guy with a white beard and crazy red suit wants to hold me, I'm game!

They were rewarded with candy canes afterwards and then we picked up a couple boxes of waffles and some bananas and got the heck out of the north pole.

I really thought that Cooper was going to do great.  I did so much prep work! I was a little bummed and a lot guilty for making Cooper sit with him for a picture but... documentation.  To Coopers dismay we've got round 2 with Santa in the morning (and another insanely cute outfit) so I'm interested to see how it goes.

I need to do a whole separate post on this but I'm in the market for an awesome stroller that is affordable and will last for awhile.  Awhile as in until Cooper is at least three and then while it sits in storage for awhile and then when my next baby comes along! I REALLY would love THIS one.  A girl can dream, right?

  2. Poor little man! He looks so upset. Not even the paci was going to make him like Santa. And you know, Patrick pretty much did this exact move! Couldn't even get a picture! Maybe next year, maybe??
