Dear Cooper 22 Months

22 Months! So close to the big two.

+ At the doctors recently I was told you are 26 pounds and 34 inches tall.

+ This month of your little life has been filled with strawberry picking, lots of trips to the park, a four day vacation to NYC, your first Atlanta Braves baseball game, and your first time going to the Atlanta Aquarium (the largest in the world!).

+ My favorite things you've been saying lately are: "Momma, what IS this?", "I love you, momma!", "he's hungry.  he need a snacky!", "watch bubble guppies on couch.  just two minutes.", "what's that noise momma?", and "I WANT A SUBWAY SANDWICH" in the craziest voice ever.  You are seriously hilarious.

You've been getting really frustrated lately when you have to do something besides what you're currently doing.  I think I'm going to try to work on warning you about having to leave, having to take a bath, etc. a little before it happens because you throw your back and scream hysterically when I scoop you up from playing to do what we need to do.  It's frustrating for me but I know it's probably frustrating for you too.

Some days you eat a lot and some days not so much but you're still drinking only water and milk with the exception of some of mommys drink every once in awhile.  You're wearing size 4 diapers, size 6 shoes, size 18 month shorts, and size 18-24 month shirts.  You've peed on the potty several times now, over 15-20 times in the past month I'd say! Some days you nap twice so some just once but naps are still a very big must in our days.

Being outside is still your favorite place to be.  You are completely obsessed with spiders and will tell anyone that will listen to you that you "saw a big spider!" You also love ants despite being completely bit up by them and are always pulling my hand come "see ants everywhere!" You also love to hunt for pinecones and with each one you find you declare "oh! another one!" You really speak with explanation points at the end of each sentence and I'm sure it's because that's how I've always talked to you.

You are rough, tough, and full of energy that completely wears me out each day but you are also so sweet.  You give me hugs around the neck, lean your forehead to my lips when I ask for a kiss, and always climb up next to me when we watch a little bubble guppies before bed.  Lately when I tell you its bed time you run to my room and climb on my bed and yell "good night, momma!"  while laughing your little butt off.  It's pretty cute.

You're the best thing in my life, Cooper James.  I love you more than ever!

p.s. we also had an unfortunate trip to the ER when Cooper pulled out the drawer on the bottom of my moms gas oven while it was on causing second degree burns on all of his finger tips :( he healed up quickly and well, thank The Lord.
